Natural Roof Slates Brazil

Brazil Slate Brazil Slate

Brazillian Slate [ Brazil ]
A stone slate which splits easily into thin sheets. It has a smooth surface. Stone slate is brittle so it should be hook fixed and cut with a disc machine.

Available in colours Grey/green and Grey /black
Sizes 50x25 & 60x30cm. Slate + half available

Brazilian is a dense stone slate. The bedding plane is the same as the plane of cleavage so the grain is weak.
These slates must be hook fixed. Slate guillotine should not be used to  cut these slates.
Slates from different crates should be mixed to ensure a good spread of colour variation over the roof.

Please note:-
Brazilian natural slates are not suitable for sites located in severe exposure areas,  such as counties along the West coast  of Ireland, Churches, multi storey buildings or mountain regions of Ireland.
